So in the recent post on Choe’s hexagon I noted that this it is apparently ‘just’ part of the exising tiling. Shades of the fact that the wiki page on quasitiling mentions Penrose tiles but not Ghiri tiles …
It’s another attempt at using gum arabic to do overlapping colours in different layers. Then I varnished it… not quite right. Gum arabic makes the paint harder to make an even flow (at least, at the high levels I put in!) so it can be murky. Ho hum.
