It is a road in London that was famous for tailors. Not sure how much that is true anymore, but I was not there for a suit, but on my way to the large Waterstones there. Anywhichway, there was a nice looking tile on the wall there that I wanted to copy.
This was the initial version, painted with some nice watercolours that I bought in tube form (red, yellow, and blue). It think it makes for slightly nicer outcome, but maybe that depends on skill.
Here is the final, outlined version. I kept it in pencil as that has a softer effect with watercolour, rather than outlining in ink:
Quite nice, overall. I suppose it would look cleaner and brighter in acrylic, but I felt like doing something in watercolour for once.
