For some reason, when I drew this knot I made two different versions, as I ‘corrected’ the first one … except. IT was still wrong.
For some bizarre reason I thought it was non-alternating, when actually the smallest non-alternating knot is 8_19 … wait. That is the TLK?
Oh for goodness sakes. I think I’ve now painted the neighbouring knot (8_18) which IS alternating!
Fine. I’m going to call this the ‘False Lover’s Knot’. Partly out of sheer spite at the universe.
