I recently put all my pencil sketches and traces (yes I use tracing paper so sue me) into a massive 100-slot storage folder. It only fills up a little over half, although that is still a lot! One nice aspect is being able to pull out a trace of a previous design, and just mash a pattern onto the paper. This is one such, from the recent set of ‘fivefold’ examples:

Here is the first step, of putting the ink on the geometry. I’ve tried to give a blue/purple-to-red/purple fade from top to bottom of the page.

Then varnish…

Yes always the varnish. This worked nicer than previous attempts:

However the blue-to-red fade just looks a bit confused. It doesn’t read well as they say. (Who? Who is saying this?)

As might or might not be obvious from the angled photo, the central part actually got three layers for extra shiny glossyness. Looks quite gem-like.
