Well, not quite. I like gold in theory so I decided to combine it with black on some design. Using this pattern from a Samira Mian video (#11 Agra Fort - Mughal India):
Fairly simple, although the construction lines are a bit over-complex for such a simple shape. I got a bit over-confident in assuming I could just use a triangular grid - turns out it is slightly off a regular grid. (It has a pleasing 2, 3, 4 ratio).
So painting the lines was a little tricky, but did kind of work. However it shines more or less depending on the angle:
Which makes it hard to photograph … It can look nice though if tilted. Actually I tried two different versions, and the second one looked a bit better.
